Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department - San Dimas Station

Areas Served:  City of San Dimas, Unincorporated Covina, Unincorporated Azusa, Unincorporated Glendora, Unincorporated La Verne, Unincorporated Claremont, Unincorporated Azusa Canyon, Unincorporated Mount Baldy and Unincorporated Angeles National Forest (State Route 30).

About:  The San Dimas Station encompasses approximately 276 square miles for its patrol area.  The population for the area is 105,000 residents.  The Department is noted for its outstanding Mountain Rescue Team, established in 1955.  The team performs technical rescues and searches in the rugged terrain of the nearby Angeles National Forest.  The deputies are highly trained and dedicated men and women volunteers and Reserve Sheriffs.  They currently respond to an average of 7 rescue calls per month involving lost hiker searches and rescues of injured persons.  The Department also has a fully staffed Detective Bureau, who are bicycle patrol certified.  The programs the station coordinates are Business & Neighborhood Watch Programs and youth & school programs.
