About: The Lamont Area consists mostly of the agriculture industry with farmers and ranchers dealing with industrial thefts. Recently, large solar fields have been installed in the area. The Lamont Substation is responsible for law enforcement services for approximately 15,000 residents and over 840 square miles. The deputies are responsible for the security of the courthouses in the area. The substation has 1 sergeant, 3 senior deputies and 20 deputies. It is the busiest sheriff's station in the county.
