About:  Frazier Park is well known as the "mountain communities."  It is a heavily used recreation area in Southern California.  With a population of close to 10,000 it can attract an estimated 500,000 in visitors each year.  Interstate 5 runs directly through the Frazier Park area.  The sheriff service area is approximately 400 square miles and most is mountainous terrain and winding roadways and trails.  The department has 1 sergeant, 1 senior deputy and 7 deputies.
