About: The facility is located on Interstate 5 approximately one hour north of Los Angeles. It is one of the most frequent traveled freeways in the United States and a major thoroughfare between northern and southern California. An average of 85,000 motor vehicles pass through the facility on an everyday basis with 30% of those vehicles being commercial vehicles. It is staffed by CHP officers and civilian Commercial Vehicle Inspection Specialists dedicated to the safety of the motoring public.
